We need the help of Wiltshire’s Town and Parish Councils.
What’s it about? Wiltshire Council is working with the University of the West of England (UWE) on a research project exploring the impact of Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic on patterns of working and rural enterprise in Wiltshire. When complete, the research will provide evidence, data and insights that will enable us to better address challenges around rural enterprise, help our businesses and ensure our communities benefit from inclusive and sustainable growth. We are looking forward to sharing the research with you when it is complete at the end of Summer, 2024.
How can I help? The project now needs to engage directly with Wiltshire businesses, with those that support them and with the wider community. A survey has been compiled and we are asking you to take part in the survey personally, as well as encouraging others to complete the survey too – family, friends, contacts and fellow councillors. The deadline is Friday 26th January 2024 so you’ll need to be quick – it takes about 5 to 10 minutes maximum. You really can make a significant contribution by helping us gather meaningful grass-roots feedback, especially given your direct involvement with organisations and associations involved in business and community support in Wiltshire.

The project aims to improve businesses and job opportunities in Wiltshire by improving the performance of rural enterprise to build more resilient communities.
