Families with children with SEND – invited to help shape services

Families with children and young people with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) and those accessing alternative provision are invited to help shape services in the future.

A number of face-to-face meetings will be held in January across the county and parents, carers, children and young people are all invited to have their say.

Wiltshire Council works closely with SEND families to ensure there are high standards of support and also opportunities for independence.

The new strategy will set out the long-term plan of how Wiltshire Council will act on agreed priorities so children, young people and families with SEND or in alternative provision have the very best provision in Wiltshire.

The face-to-face events will be held on Wednesday 10 January at Calne Town Hall, Tuesday 16 January at St John’s Parish Centre Trowbridge and Friday 26 January at Guildhall Salisbury. All events will run from 10am to 1pm.
